Hulk Hogan in awe of 72-year-old Vince McMahon ‘crazy man’

Even at 72, Vince McMahon wants to show everyone he’s made of tougher stuff than most.

Despite only making very occasional appearances on the WWE Network in the past few years after taking a more behind-the-scenes role at the wrestling promotion, he’s still far from afraid to step in the ring.

That was evident when McMahon faced up to Kevin Owens, who headbutted him to the ground, splitting his head open. When the WWE icon returned to his feet, Owens knocked him to the canvas once more.

Owens then heaped more pain on his boss with a kick before he landed on his ribs with a frog splash.

McMahon confronted Owens because the wrestling villain last week said he wished Vince’s son Shane — the general manager of Smackdown — died in a helicopter crash in July. Completely unrelated to any wrestling sideshow, the helicopter carrying Shane made an emergency landing in the waters off New York’s Gilgo Beach.

Back to the fantasy land that is professional wrestling, Shane attacked Owens, getting himself suspended. So Vince showed up to get revenge on Owens for making “heinous, derogatory comments” and throwing mud on the McMahon name.

That didn’t pan out so well as Owens laid into him.

Hulk Hogan was in awe of Vince putting his aging body on the line for the good of the promotion, calling him a “crazy man.”

The carnage finally stopped when daughter Stephanie came out to banish Owens and help her father out.
